Bayside Community Day School

Welcome to Bayside Community Day School and Moreno Valley Community Learning Center. My name is Henry Herreras, I am both proud and humbled to be provided with the opportunity to lead such an important and unique program. Bayside is a valuable school which meets the needs of students who have not experienced academic success or have been identified as "a chronic truant". Moreno Valley Community Learning Center is a school which provides an opportunity for students who violated Moreno Valley Unified School District's "Zero Tolerance" policies. Bayside/MVCLC welcomes parental and community involvement on campus. Parents are involved in the School Site Council, English Learners Advisory Committee, and the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), all of which meet regularly throughout the school year.

Due to the efforts of an excellent staff composed of dedicated, well-trained, classified, certificated personnel and exceptional support by the Moreno Valley SRO, Bayside/MVCLC has shown continuous growth. We are always looking for ways to enhance student learning and provide a climate and culture which focuses on learning and student achievement.

As principal, it is my responsibility to assist teachers, staff, and parents in providing opportunities for all students to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally in preparation for life. Ultimately, our focus is to provide an environment which is conducive to student learning and motivating student life-long success.
